Granny Ann's Cake Section
        
Quickie Chocolate Cake

Mix all of the following together well and set aside.

2 cups sugar
1teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all purpose flour
1teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1cup buttermilk

Next: Mix the following and bring to a boil.

1 stick margarine
1/2 cup shortening
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup water                                                                           When these ingredients come to a boil, pour over the first 6 ingredients and beat well.
Pour into a 13X9" cake pan and bake at 350F degrees
20 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.     Let Cool in pan. Now prepare icing as following:

Icing

1 stick margarine
3 Tablespoons cocoa
6 Tablespoons water                                                           Bring to a boil and pour over 1 box of powdered sugar, add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup pecans or walnuts. Ice cake!
