Granny Ann's Desserts Made Easy

Good Fudge


1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cups (5 oz. can) evaporated milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 cups (9 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
(If you like milk chocolate fudge use 1/ 3/4 cups milk chocolate chips 11.5 oz pkg.)

1/2 cup pecans, chopped or use walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Line a 8" square baking dish with foil or wax paper

Combine sugar, can milk, butter and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly for 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Stir in marshmallows, chips, nuts and vanilla. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Pour into prepared baking dish; refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.

Left from pan; remove foil or wax paper and cut into small squares. Store in an air tight container.
