Easy Lasagna Pie
1/2 lb ground beef, lean
1/2 cup chunky spaghetti sauce
1/3 cup reduced fat ricotta cheese or reduced fat cottage cheese
3 TBL fat-free Parmesan cheese topping, grated
1 TBL fat-free (skim) milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup reduced-fat mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup reduced fat baking mix
1 cup fat-free (skim) milk
3 egg whites or 1/2 cup fat-free egg product Additional spaghetti sauce
Grease 9" pie plate & set aside.
Cook beef in skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally until brown; drain.
Stir in 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce; heat until bubbly. Spread half of the beef mixture in the pie plate. Mix together ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese), Parmesan topping, 1 tablespoon milk and the salt. Drop cheese mixture by spoonfuls onto beef mixture. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining beef mixture. Mix baking mix, 1 cup milk and egg whites until blended. Pour over meat & cheese mixture in pie plate.
Bake until cheese melts in a pre-heat oven of 400 degrees.
Serve with a garden salad.
